League Rules and Regulations

Team Rosters
  1. Teams must report to the League location 15 minutes prior to each game. Team roster is limited to Min 8 players and Max 12 players.
  2. All the names of the players have to be submitted to the organizers one day prior to the first match of the League. adding players after submitting the list is not allowed under any circumstances.
  3. All players shall play for only one team.
  4. A team will be disqualified if it uses an ineligible player that is not on the roster.
  5. Each team must play under a name.
  6. All teams must wear a consistent uniform numbered basketball jersey during their games. Basketball shoes must be worn.
  7. All coaches are responsible for having legal IDs for all players (Emirates ID, Passport, Driving License)
  8. The schedule of the games once agreed and published cannot be changed under any circumstances
  9. All players must be born on 1980 or older.
  10. The team coaches are entirely responsible to make sure that their players fully understand League rules and regulations.
  11. The League Committee makes all final decisions concerning all grievances; i.e. protests, eligibility, etc..
Entry Fee and Rewards
  1. No Entry fee.
  2. The first-place will have trophy and medals, second place trophy and medals.
  3. Player of the game award will be given to the outstanding player chosen by the League Committee after reviewing the statistics and the attitude/behavior of the player.
Playing Rules

FIBA rules will be applied for more information please check  http://www.fiba.basketball/documents 

  1. Game Clock: the game is consisting of 4 quarters each one is for 10 mints. The clock will stop on all fouls and violations. 10 minutes will be given to warm up.
  2. Grace Period: A 15 minutes grace period will be allowed for tardiness and then if a team does not have 5 players to start the game, the team will lose the game.
  3. Each participating team must have a coach on the bench always. (The coach can be a player)
  4. The allowed people to be on the bench is: Coach, Assistant Coach, registered players, Team Manager and Medical Support-has to be above 14 years old
  5. The team will be held responsible for their fans’ negative comments or actions towards the officials and committee members.
  6. Team captains/managers are the voice of their team and are responsible for their team’s conduct.
  7. The teams will be divided into two groups, Group A and Group B  Each group will play as a league  Best 2 from each group will go to Semi-Final than Final
Conduct
  1. All participates, coaches and fans shall refrain from using profanity or verbal abuse towards other players, coaches, fans, referees and the League staff.
  2. The League Manager and the League staff are not responsible for any personal items that are left behind, lost or stolen.
  3. Destruction or damage of Aflec School property will be severely punished by proper authorities. The player and team will pay for damages and will automatically be eliminated from the League.
  4. INSURANCE / INJURIES: The League sponsor and organizers carry no insurance for players, fans or game officials. The Emergency Medical Service will be called for all medical emergencies unless waived by such person. Individuals are responsible for all charges.
  5. Fighting is an attempt to strike an opponent with the arms, hands, legs, feet or a combative action by one or more players, coach or other team personnel. Any member or team personnel who participates in a fight shall be immediately suspended from the game for the duration to be determined by the League Committee.
  6. Should any team, player(s) or coach be disqualified from League play, there will be no refunds.
Media Waiver

Some games will be broadcasted live thru Jam Academy Social Media and pictures of the games will be shared, names of the players will be displayed thru social media, press, TV etc.., should you have any objection or any concerns please inform the League Manager in advance. 

Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

Below are the guidelines we have put in place in accordance with Dubai Municipality’s
Health Guidelines.

  1. Each player, spectator, coach and staff member will have their body temperature checked before entering the court. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher will not be allowed to enter.
  2. Players’ time on court will be limited to competition time. Players will have to leave immediately after the game is over.
  3. Entry will be restricted to anyone who is feeling unwell or showing any signs of illness.
  4. To ensure adequate distancing between members, social distancing measures are in place leaving a minimum of 2 m apart.
  5. All players, spectators, coaches and staff members are required to wear mask at all times. Players have to remove it while training only. Training with a mask is highly dangerous.
  6. Players must bring their own sweat towel, ball, water or any other material they might need. Sharing food, water or material is not allowed.
  7. Everyone are requested to sanitize their hands upon entering the academy.
  8. Anyone with any existing Chronic diseases/respiratory illness is not permitted to enter the academy.
  9. Spectators will have to sit 2m away from each others. Bleachers are marked according to social distancing rules.
PLAYERS’ AGREEMENT

Above are our safety guidelines.
We ask all players to ensure they follow those rules when they visit the academy.
Jam Sports Academy reserves the right to deny entry or remove any player who does not adhere to our policy.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community as healthy as possible.

For good and valuable consideration, all players agree as follows:

1. HEALTH & SAFETY
I confirm I do not have any symptoms related to and have not been knowingly exposed to COVID-19. If the above status changes, I agree not to visit the academy.
2. FACE COVERING
I agree to wear a mask while in the academy and not while practicing.
3. SOCIAL DISTANCING
I agree to keep a 2m distance between myself and other players/coaches/staff/spectators while in the academy.
4. CLEANLINESS
I agree not enter closed off areas.
I agree to keep my hands sanitized while at the academy.
5. JAM SPORTS ACADEMY POLICIES     
I agree to all policy and required actions implemented by Jam Academy.

WAIVER: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic I assume the risk of visiting the academy.
